Conservation is a focal point of my artwork. ‘Where have all the Flowers Gone’ is one of my responses.

This Wagga quilt, 168cm x 126cm, is a response to the continuing destruction of our native flora.  The Australian ‘Wagga’ is, as is this quilt, made from sample blocks and left-overs from manufactured garments, in this artwork, using recycled wool material.  The ‘make do and mend’ philosophy underpins all my art work.  The layers are ‘tied’ …

Winter Garden  2010   136cm x 72cm.  I look at my garden and see the different colours and textures of the earth, compost and fallen leaves strewn everywhere with the wind.  Occaionally, there is a flash of colour from winter flowerings.  The pods of the Illawarra Flame Tree hang dejectedly from the branches.  Its leaves fall all …
