‘Memories’ selected finalist at The Campbelltown Arts Centre.

I am very excited to have been accepted into the Fisher’s Ghost Art Award.  My ‘memories’ are built from the remnants of  my sewing for family, friends and many years of sewing costumes for ballroom dancing and brides. The centre panel was found when I help clear out the home of a relative. This quilt is hand stitched and has over 2000 hours of work in it over a twelve month period.

“This year the open award was particularly competitive and attracted an extensive calibre of artists from the local community, the greater Sydney area as well as a selection of inter-state entries” – Campbelltown Arts Centre.

The prestigious Fisher’s Ghost Art Award opens 5th November to 27th November, 2011.
