I look at my garden and see the different colours and textures of the earth, compost and fallen leaves strewn everywhere with the wind. Occasionally, there is a flash of colour from winter flowerings. The pods of the Illawarra Flame Tree hang dejectedly from the branches. Its leaves fall all year and do not break down completely. They stay in their skeletal form for ever! There is a small pond and several bird baths that reflect the sky in its various moods.
